I have the Grey/pink/purple combo(besides loving these being functional, people say how pretty they are). I trained then ran and have continued to use saucony's for all of my running. Im not what you would call a natural runner. I struggle with my love/hate relationship with running. I have to work at it and this shoe helps. It has an arch support and what feels like a strong heel. every foot is different, but I personally love these:)

I got these shoes for light summer hiking on fairly even but unpaved surfaces. I chose them because they would dry quickly after going through puddles and because I believed the webbing would make them cooler in the summer months than a more traditional shoe.
However, while they WERE a little cooler and did dry quickly, I never really warmed up to them. After three months, I realized that I was rarely reaching for them when going out and that I had probably only worn them for hiking fewer than a dozen times. Instead, I continued to wear my older Keen Chamonix shoes, even though they have a boiled wool lining that one would think would make them rather warm for summer. Apparently, my feet weren't bothered by that. Bottom line for me & my feet: the Keen's are more comfortable and suit me better for light hiking.
I don't hate the Chaco's, though, and will continue to wear them when it's muddier, simplifying clean-up.

My podiatrist told me he would have 75% fewer clients if everyone wore Brooks Beasts. These are the best shoes for folks with flat feet and heavy pronation. At first they feel clunky and look big, but you soon get used to it once you realize that your feet don't hurt anymore! I walked Disney for three straight days in these and never complained, but yet a few hours in trendy shoes and I wince the next morning. I wish Brooks made athletic cleats, I would buy those too.
Money very well spent, and I will never buy any other brand of running shoe but Brooks.
